Texas is the second most polluted state in the U.S, it holds a population of 28,797,290 people. Across the state a plague has spread. A plague which has brought with it the voices of Millions of people. Millions of people who are fighting to bring solutions to issues or an issue. They are forming interest groups to influence policy. Policy which they highly believe needs to change for the good and their own self-interest. Their voices are speaking up to be heard on topics such as Abortion, Wildlife, Agriculture, Capital Punishment, Education, Immigration, Transportation, and The Foster Care System. However, are they being heard at all over these issues? Such as the foster care issue which seems to keep being put on the sidelines. The state …show more content…

After all it has only been broken for 20 years, why worry? The problem can fix it self. Right? The problem will not fix it self unless groups of people come together to be the voices and guardians of millions of children put in the care of the state. The state seems to have put such knowledge on hold. They seem to have not come up with a solution to fix the problem. Will you help guard these children or keep them in their suffering? Would you want to be in the care of a state who foster care system is broken? Or would you want any loved one of yours to be in the broken system? Daily children who come from broken families are put under the states foster care system. Children who come into the foster care system want to believe the state got their back, but how will they believe when the system is broken. The reality of these children is that as soon as the state takes them away from what they have known. They will be immediately be separated from their siblings. Joe Straus is when will Texas put an end to the misery of these children, what legislation will you pass, will you help fight for these children, be their guardian, their voice? It simple you should do what is right and pass a legislation that will help these kids strive in life with better opportunity’s, provide the right resources they need, and give more power to the 14th amendment that gives people the right to be free from harm. Mr. Straus I beg you to appeal to pass a legislation, which will help these victims who are innocent, they are not to blame for the system being broken. It is an injustice if the system stays broken. I contribute to help speak for these children and strive to help Texas find a fix to the broken system. Create a stronger system. My campaigns goals are to provide more funds for healthcare, higher education, and other needs by donating and fundraising, increase the number of foster children receiving higher education, provide textbooks, notebooks, pencils, backpacks, and etc., offer better protection, do more thoroughly background checks, provide the right aid needed, give more rights to the child in care, decrease the abuse rate, decrease the death rate, decrease the criminal rate, provide better living conditions and opportunity’s, increase the awareness of foster children, set reasonable limits, increase the rate of adoption for the better, increase the rate of good people with good hearts working in foster homes,
