“Hut!” the voice of the quarterback is heard when the play starts and before a person’s mind can process what is happening, a touchdown is heard from a distance and people are yelling at the top of their lungs. They look where it is coming from and it is one amazing score from the team, excitement fills them up as they realize the game has ended, and have won a trophy once again. Being a football coach is one of the most emotional yet challenging career out there. However, a good thing about coaching football is the responsibilities that come with career itself and the traveling the that happens when winning in championships.
In becoming a football coach, they may believe that they are teaching young men how to play and be responsible, but in reality they are teaching the coach. The use of a variety of instructional techniques, and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of a student athlete. () What this is stating is that student athletes should be taught how to respect their teammates or respect the other team’s teammates. Job responsibilities are to be handled every day to be
Coaching any sport is much harder than it seems. There are some jobs that almost anyone with the right education can do. Coaching is definitely not one of those jobs. One can get educated on drawing X's and O's on a paper for decades and still might be far from being a successful coach. Of course knowledge of the sport is very important too but to be successful in a job like coaching, one has to dedicate himself to his job; his job has to be his life. This is the major reason even those who hate Patriots still respect Bill Belichick and agree that he had unique abilities that make him so successful. His exceptional intelligence, his ability to break down and exploit game film, his singular discipline and his almost unmatched work ethic makes him probably the best coach in the NFL today and even one of the best in the history of the NFL.
This constitutes the single largest barrier to successful coaching. Common barriers to
Throughout the country young men and women are losing their priority for an education. To attend a university should be a highly cherished privilege, and it should be an even greater honor to play athletics for the university. Therefore, the writer supports the decision that the “student” comes before “athlete” in student-athlete. Playing for pay should be considered a job for “professionals”. In the rulebook, the NCAA views college athletes as armatures. This statement sums it up best. When athletes go to college, not all of them go in with the mindset that athletics is going to be their future job....
As I have asserted, coaching is far more than winning or losing. A coach is an essential cog in shaping qualities such as sportsmanship, competitiveness, self discipline, and work ethic. A quality coach can build a player up while a bad coach can tear them down. My goal as a coach was to always leave the player striving to be the best they could be. A good coach
On my senior project I recorded myself actually coaching a team and showing them how being a coach is easy and fun but it is also very difficult and tough. I coached my senior class as they faced the teachers at the teacher versus senior game. They had fun as well as I did but it is still difficult in that situation when you’re losing and there is only five minutes left on the clock and you as the coach have
My coaches pushed me and stressed how important grades was and making plays on the field was. He made sure we were well taken care of, fed and that we were giving back to our community just as much as it was giving to us. The school I went to holds a lot of tradition so the community was a major factor and wearing our school name around was like carrying the torch at the Olympics, you had to be on your best behavior and making sure you were doing something positive. My coaching career will be an image that will live with me forever. I hope to become a
The effectiveness of the coaching method depends completely on the coach, his personality, and the needs of the student-athletes. Each program and institution is unique and has different institutional goals and objectives that attract different student-athletes compared to other colleges or universities (Koivula, Hassmen, Fallby, 2002).

A proper coaching philosophy contains principles which improve character development, teach step by step tactical and technical skills, form proper progressive physical training regimens, and carefully utilize team management to handle and control problems with administrative issues. A coach with a sound philosophy should mold a team with strong cohesion, and he should treat players not only as teammates, but as family and friends who are encouraged to develop communication and lifelong learning of skills through positive support and role modeling from the coach (Mergelsberg, 14-15). The philosophy should also contain written documents of implemented strategies and techniques, so that the coach will know what to improve upon season by season
Being a Basketball Coach. The reason why i am studying this career is because i want to know what it is like to be a High School, or a College Coach, and a National League Associations (NBA) and just to see how it is to be a coach . My history of this career is that i have been to so many job shadows that are coaches and some coaches are nice too there players and some are very mean. There are a lot of basketball coaches out there and the employment of this job is to make sure your other coaches stay on track with the players to because some of the basketball players just want to go out and party after a game which that is not good for your body to have alcohol or anything else in your body. You can find these jobs everywhere

What do people have to do to become a teacher , coach or both? Let me take you back in time. Back then the learned men of ancient times, by default became the teachers. Priests and prophets taught children of the wealthy and noble, the skills to take up their roles as leaders and businessmen. So in other words, people who had knowledge they passed it down. After that knowledge being passed down those people would tell someone else and so on. Back then people with power like priests and king , told people things and people trusted them and of course they listened to them.
Coaching, however challenging, is a great way to influence the lives of others while also building their character. For as long as there have been sports, there have been people teaching the sport to the players and making them better at it. Coaches must have certain qualities in order to obtain success. One must also look at a coach’s motivation for his job, his passion for what he does, his methods for coaching, and how he became a coach in order to fully understand him. There are many questions someone may want to ask a coach about his profession if they are interested in coaching.
In today’s society being a coach can be extremely complicated especially compared to earlier years. Coaching requires not only many technical and personal skills but also has to include positive psychology that will affect all athletes regardless of gender, age, and race. After reading various articles this leads me to the question, what is a coach? How do coaches differ from one another? In addition are we forgetting the importance of not only coaching but the sports psychology aspect of coaching overall? Regardless of what you may have read or heard I believe not only do all coaches have their own coaching style but every coaching technique and style is different. Coaching styles and positive psychology are two techniques that can provide
Every week I had to work with ten other men on the field, each of us having a different duty, but having one common goal—winning the game. In order for us to properly function, effective communication and execution of tasks were necessary, similar to the crucial factors that are needed at any successful workplace. One of the ways this was practiced during the season is when you have exams that might conflict with the football schedule it is you job as the athlete in the situation to relay that to your coach. Another important work related experience that comes with being a student athlete is that you must learn how to properly conduct and present yourself in different settings. Whether this is on the field, off the field, or simply on social media, there are many eyes watching what I do, hoping that I represent the football organization in a respectful manner. Similarly once entering a career, it will be imperative that you represent your company in a reverent way. Lastly, what being a collegiate athlete has taught me related to work experience is competition. It is evident that I competed against other teams at games, but what people do not realize is that the competition starts before the actual game has approached. I have learned to compete and perform harder than my fellow teammates, proving to my
