In the Tragedy Of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, Brutus, Mark Antony, and Cassius are three very important characters that help support, and develop the story as a whole. These three characters don't share a common similarity, however they do share some similarities with each other individually. For example, Antony and Cassius are very manipulative people and know how to get what they want, when they want it, while Brutus is more of a reserved type of person.

The destruction of Brutus and Cassius comes from their own flaws throughout the story. Antony however shows how he can be strong and stable in the areas that Brutus and Cassius have proved to be the weakest in. The biggest flaw that Brutus will face in the story is his idealism. When Cassius advises Brutus to kill off Antony along with Caesar, Brutus does not listen to him. Cassius gets blown off by Brutus again when Antony is allowed to give a speech over Caesars dead body. Because of this, Brutus ends up not having the final words on the death of Caesar.

Cassius has his own flaw which is the submissive relationship he has with Brutus. He gives in to what Brutus says regardless of what he truly believes. Some might say the Brutus …show more content…

Brutus tries to ignore his personal worries when it comes to public actions. For example, Caesar becoming powerful and more "godlike" in the eyes of roman society really worked Cassius to a sweat. With this, he makes Brutus believe that Caesar is getting too powerful and must be killed as soon as possible. Cassius sends Brutus forged letters stating that the Roman people are on board with the killing of Julius Caesar. These letters are the trigger that gets set off in Brutus's mind to kill Caesar.
