The very first college game of football happened between Princeton and Rutgers in 1895. The sport of flag football has been around for almost as long as tackle football. Flag football was played as a enjoyment activity for American retired military workers in the 1940s. Competitive leagues began in the 1940s and 50s. Now days, the sport has a strong novice following, with a couple international and national games each year. Flag football is most popular along college and adult sporting groups. There are many different types of flag football. It can be played by teams of four five and even nine.
