In trying to convey the meaning behind the words Coldplay meritoriously chooses certain words. The reason the words need to be chosen so carefully is because they need to convey what the artist is trying to get across while also allowing people to connect to the lyrics. When trying to express something personal you want to get the right phrasing because to you it’s not just a bunch of lines on a piece of paper but a part of yourself that you’ve put into the lyrics.
