Chapter 4 4.0 Introduction The researcher collected the data from films to do the analysis in this chapter. 4.1 Film Analysis The researcher had chosen two films from two well-known directors, which are David Fincher and Martin Scorsese. The films that I choose from David Fincher are “Fight Club”(1999) and “Se7en”(1995) while the films from Martin Scorsese are “Bringing out the dead”(1999) and “Shutter Island”(2010). Dialogue was part of film to tell audience what was going on in the story. The dialogue “why are you all wet, baby” had repearted three times in this film, there will be something happen when this dialogue appeared and the truth of the true identity will exposed soon. First, after he spoke to his wife with this dialogue, on the next day, the whole eletrical system in hospital on fired, so that they grabbed this opportunity get into ward C and the truth to know his true identity was near. While the second time the dialogue repeated, when he came up to the lighthouse, Dr Cawley said this dialogue to him. From this scene, Dr Cawley tell the truth to Teddy Daniels, he was the patient who had been here for 24 months and Andrew Laddies was his true identity while the character Teddy Daniels was created by himself because he can’t accept the truth of the death of his wife and children. The third time dialogue had repeated in the flashback scene when he spoke this dialogue to his wife, Dolores Chanal before he saw his children were drowned in the lake. From this scene, Teddy Daniels had known his true identity as Andrew Laddies and he had admitted he created the story as Teddy
