Feedback Loop Argument

The documentary talks about the idea of ecology operating in a feedback loop, where in, the process works in a constant loop, like other systems of the universe, biological, social, electrical and physical. With associating it to the patterns of how a machine works, and understanding the mechanical aspects of the society, being relative to the ecological subsystem. The idea of the feedback loop was given by Jay Forrester, where in he works out the working of the ecological world, of correcting its imbalances, stabilizing the ecosystem by a feedback. The documentary describes the constancy of the ecosystem, and thus the hierarchical structure of the society that makes it plausible to exist. The understanding of the ecosystem of being in a …show more content…

Power, and anarchy penetrating an equal society thus creates problems and thus, a breakdown of the ecological system that operates on welfare of a collective and not individual interest. Also, the idea of the ecosystem working in a constant state, and of the feedback loop where in, the end point is equivalent to the initial balanced state is flawed with the upcoming ecologists encouraging the view of the ecosystem as a dynamic and changing system thus the idea of it all emerging to the initial point is in itself a conflicting view of the real world …show more content…

Ecosystem being a mechanical subject as experimented in the dome society, where in individuals lived within no structure or order of power, thus indicating an egalitarian society tried to observe the connections an individual have with the technology. Being part of the system with no political alliance, dealing one on one. A free individual, thus inculcating group sense/group feeling, to feel connected also is indicative of this interaction of the natural form of the society, without the pollutive implications of the greed and superiority of one over the other. The dome experiment, which allowed these individuals to live together, saw the potential advantages of this type of environment. The problem with this experiment was the self need that superseded the demands of the natural ecosystem, of being at equal levels with others. The involvement of politicians who couldn’t let the power they’ve incorporated along the years, to be given up. Thus, the conception of a society that worked like a machine, and evolved on the idea of the technical world, couldn't be more realistic with the involvement and the presence of these power structures that weakened the will to replicate the natural world of the ecosystem into the more technical and circuit like aspect of the machines. The idea of cybernetics with the human brain and the society working like a
