Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is truly one of the best stories I have ever read. Rainbow has a very unique style of writing that just gets you hooked from the get go. She skillfully portrays young adults by using characters, plot, and atmosphere in Fangirl.
A main element in this story is the characters. I felt as though they were really my friends. One of the major relationships in this story is the one between Cath and her sister Wren. For Cath to speak up for herself was a very big deal because of her lack of social skills. From the beginning of the story to the end, you watch Cath grow as a person. At the beginning, she had a hard time even talking to her roommate. At the end, her roommate was her best friend. For example, at the end of the story Wren asks to be Cath’s roommate and she says no because she is rooming with Regan once
