Making this assignment had me at my advantage as I belonged from a family that absolutely travels a lot. As our family trips were influenced out by travel experiences by either one us or friends and relatives , it never really occurred to me as to what were the factors that influenced my family members to choose a destination with their own trips with their friends. With that, I asked two of my family members, both of which belonging to different generations but has a similarity of often spending their vacations with friends. I always make it a point to have more than enough pocket money at hand so I'll be able to afford unexpected expenses along the way. The main purpose for my travels is relaxation that’s why proper planning is very important so that my vacation would go on smoothly and stress-free. ” the second thing he considers is the cost of airfare; he always tries to stay up-to-date with airplane ticket promos. He said “Knowing the estimated air fare cost helps me determine the remaining money I have to save for other necessities for travel, it helps me know if I still have enough time to save before the flying date”. The third thing he considers is accommodation “Several of my trips in the Philippines were made possible because some of my relatives or friends offered their homes for me to stay in for free. My cousin’s definition of hassle free was more about his budget and as long as he is secured with money, equipped with a few travel stories and experiences and going to safe destination he is up for the trip. With my aunt it was about having convenient and safe process and having a knowledgeable and trusted travel guide. Knowing the differences among my family members made me understand more on the theories being taught in our class.
