False Advertising In The Workplace

First, do any of these words sound familiar to you? "huckster," "snake oil peddler," "fast talker," "con artist" and, of course, "untrustworthy," "arrogant" and "dishonest."? If they do and you are getting upset then you probably have been a victim of a sale gone wrong. People who purchase a product of any kind should be happy and feel good about their purchase and be willing to show it off to others. However, if you were lied to and the product was not as advertised then you typically feel lied to and took advantage of. Is this right or wrong? Many people are asking these type of questions and this paper will help answer some of the questions surrounding these problems some people are having.
Second, it should be mentioned that in the business world there are many jobs that require employees to sell things for a company. When sales are made the company makes money and the employee makes a percentage of the sales. The employees typically have a set goal to meet monthly or weekly to get a bonus and this is how they get paid. However, my thought was how far are people willing to go to make a sale? Will they lie, mislead customers, or make up fake information, or all of the above to sell the products to people to get paid. This is something customers look for and they should always receive it. Leaders in a management position are there to guide others to do the right thing and train them to be positive roles models for the community. There is no location that has enough positive leaders in their community. However, there could be more in the time to come with more classes like this one.
