What if you could reveal the secrets of others thru their dreams? Well in the book Fade written by Lisa Mcmann, Janie is a regular girl with the unusual power to see people's dreams, but it is a burden. She can see their terrible secrets and their scariest thoughts, and by using her power she can help stop the pedophiles who are harming teenage kids at school just like her. Janie is brave enough to risk her life, and put a stop to the pedophiles endangering her fellow classmates. Janie is a seventeen year old from a broken home, and is burdened and gifted by her power. She is sucked into the dreams of others, and this power is found so valuable to one police chief who hires her as an undercover detective.
