Even Johannes Gutenberg would opt for an iPad, for one it is a lot easier than carrying around a printing press. The use of electronic books in the classroom is an excellent step forward with many advantages for instance convenience, reasonably priced, and environmentally friendly. Traditional books will always have a place in our lives, even if it is a doorstop, paperweight, or just something to lob at annoying people. Writer Craig Mod said, “I think nostalgia is very quickly replaced with convenience.” Printed publications such as magazines have gotten so thin they are definitely not worth the cover price anymore. Magazines are moving to more of an online presence.

Some of the best things about electronic media are the ease of use for the reader. Many publications are free to download, sometimes just because their copyright has expired. Some libraries have E-books checked out. Many schools offer digital books to their students free for kindergarten through twelfth grade. For the college age student, a tablet and e-text will save money throughout their collegiate career. All the books they read for fun and all they may need to reference or continuing education for their occupation. As technology and storage-space advance people will be able to carry their own personalized libraries everywhere.
