I have been lurking through this forest now for a week since waking up from hibernation. The last thing I had to eat was a motting carcass of deer, that wolves had cleaned off about a week prior. Even the maggots tasted good, as I was very famished. My little cub came running up to me as his paws scruffed the ground - “Mama mama” as little cub was frightened. I mama bear watched my little cub frightened from a two legs,“ little one come here I have a story to tell”. I was walking in sodden and through bog-holes looking for a carcass of an animal or something with flesh. My paws were abraded by the long paths long the county line road. It was in the middle of spring and all the animals were coming out of hibernation and I was one of them. I
The lake finally melted and flooded the cabin, so a tent was pitched only ten yards from a hunting path. A boundary was made after the tent was pitched and the wolves never crossed it. Farley figured out the wolves were living on mice much more than caribou. When the heat came the wolves more their pups to a summer den where they could run. He watched the wolves hunting one day and was in a rage when they would not try and attack any of the healthy deer. Watching closely he figured out that they usually only eat the sick and weak deer.
Jake, Lucy’s neighbor was a well-educated kid. He was 15 years old and lives in an old timber house with his parents. Jake’s father was a farmer and had lived in the area since he was a lad. The area seemed to be haunted since creepy tales about all sorts of beasts was told. People even claimed that they were awakened some nights by a howling. Mostly people believed that it was a feral dog but Jakes father incised that it was a wolf, a ghost wolf. He was sure since he had seen a wolf in the forest when he was in Jake’s age, but none believed him. He kept telling his son about the wolf and Jake wanted to find out the truth. Lucy knew about Jake’s curiosity, at the same time as she decided to escape from her unbearable father. So she lied to get Jake by her side on the endless escape from the futureless community. She said that she knew where the wolf’s lair was. Jake got even more curious and joined her wolf hunting-adventure.

It was a beautiful October afternoon as I climbed to the top of my tree stand. The sun was shining, and a slight breeze was blowing from the northwest. Tiredly, I woke up the next morning with it still as dark as night (SM). Packing quickly, I made sandwiches to eat and headed out to the deer stand with my dad (PP). I like where we hunt because it’s an open field surrounded by tall pine trees and marshy land. It’s kind of a long hike to the stand from the road, so when I walked down the road to our stand I took small strides to muffle the crunchy leaves. This is scared he is a raccoon as you can tell he's only 3 ½ months old, he is still very young he is about 4 feet tall he is full size. Scared is just a nickname to him his sister calls him a wimp. But he isn’t he’s just afraid. When he was 2 months old he was so scared that he played dead for a week. Scared’s parents went on a trip when he was little they never came back, he loved his parents so much even though he never got to know them. A rustling in the undergrowth drew Amon from his thoughts and he peeled his eyes for the source. It wasn't hard to find, as the zombie like creature stumbled along with no other concerns, except the need to eat. This one was only young and looking at it Amon felt a little sad, the boy couldn't have been more than twelve years young. He looked in rough shape, thin with superficial cuts, as he struggled to make his way through the forest, black blood oozed from open wounds and his clothes in tatters, barely clinging to his small frame.
Animals wanted to die and by me eating them I gave them a way out of their pain and suffering. I thought that maybe they went in their sleep and the deaths were peaceful and silent. I whole heartily believed in this illusion until one day when I had turned on the television I see a completely new whole at hand. Pure white feathers as white as a fresh blanket of snow covered in bright red almost electric blood smearing the floor below it. This was my lunch, and dinner was in the slaughter house waiting for her turn not even knowing where she is going or how this will end. Turkeys with broken necks, still breathing, watching, waiting for hope of their savior, a rotating saw that would finish the job. This was my Thanksgiving, my Christmas, my Saturday, my week, my life. My life I was living, I was nothing but an accomplice to murder. In ninety minutes my world had changed from a crystal chandelier to a foggy windshield on a rainy day. I can never un-see what I had witnessed that day in fact I still experience nightmares and visions of what I saw.
Communication always has been a vital key to survival within all species. Although communication is generally associated with speech, it also involves gestures, eye contact, and facial expressions. We live in an environment in which we must interact with all species, including our pets. Pet dogs are an example of animals that humans encounter on a daily basis. These animals “show high levels of attentiveness towards human behavior, follow human gestures like no other animal, and show an increased readiness to look at the human face” (Barber). The master of the animals in this forest was the bear. The bear was hardy. His general color is black above and brownish dark below. His legs were very powerful. He could use his hind legs to stand upright. His front legs could get to hard to reach places. He had a keen sense of smell and hearing but a less well developed sense of sight. This bear had an omnivorous diet. The bear liked eating fish, termites, ants, honey, fruit and nuts. The bear could catch his meals with incredible speed. Trees, water or land did not stop him from his prey. This bear preferred to be alone. He did not like to share food or care for the young. Caring for the young would be left to his mates. Yet he possessed much wisdom.
Some people may say a dog is just a dog, but for me they are extremely desirable. Dogs are a person’s best friend. They make me cry, laugh, and I wish never adopted one because they do smell. Although, dogs smell, it should not be a justification to not obtain one. I mean what does not smell? I never realized how taking care of a dog could change my life; until I saw how they sleep throughout the day, they are always there to comfort me, and how they provide a responsible way of living.
I looked up at the black sky. I hadn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and the empty road ahead had no streetlights. I knew I was in for a dark journey home. I had decided that by traveling through the forest would be the quickest way home. Minutes passed, yet it seemed like hours and days. The farther I traveled into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. I was very had to even take a breath due to the stifling air. The only sound familiar to me was the quickening beat of my own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through my chest. I began to whistled to take my mind off the eerie noises I was hearing. In this kind of darkness I was in, it was hard for me to believe that I could be seeing these long finger shaped shadows that stretched out to me. I had this gut feeling as though something was following me, but I assured myself that I was the only one in the forest. At least I had hoped that I was.
Stray animals are dangerous reason being is children or elderly people can be bit while walking or playing around at parks. I live in Mercedes and at one point when I was walking from stars to the high school, and stray dog for no reason started growing at me and my instinct was to run until I got the a building. This can happen to anyone, they can be attacked trying to touch a stray or just simply walking by, or even worse a child can catch a disease. Also owners with their pets are also getting attacked by stray animals because they strays tend to be over protective of their territory, or they just want to fight with the pet of the owner.
As I waited outside my mother’s home on a chilly afternoon, I had seen a dog barking at an innocent white cat. Of course my mom lived in a neighborhood that was polluted with animals. Maybe, it was because she grew up on a farm with about five dogs so for her to see animals was a normal thing. Somehow, she was gifted to love and nurture. The vibe she gave was natural and impossible to miss.
