The forced assimilation in Native American culture caused utter annihilation to many tribes and caused many bonds to be broken. An example of broken bonds, is when the Cherokee fought back, there were a few Cherokee people who tried to convince John Ross to leave and move west ("John Ross and the Cherokee Indians").
