Mass Media The evolution of mass media have impacted american culture in many ways. Technology advances played a role in mass media changes. Traditional media and emerging media are sourcecs people depend on to get information such as the latest news and events. Mass media consists of all means of communication intended to reach a genral, public audience. Some examples of mass media include; newspapers, magazines, flyers, bill boards, automated telemarketing, radio broadcast, televison broadcst, articles on the internet and social media post. Mass media indirectly affects cultures. Different cultures are affected by the evolution of mass media due to a number of factors.

What were the major developments in the evolution of mass media during the last century? There are two types of mass
Media convergence involves publishers being bias due to the influence of a specific source. It is a necessity to make sure everyone is able to filter out information from soirces that may be bias. If someone is bias about information, they form their own opinion about it and try to persued readers or the audience to believe what their saying.

Why is media literacy important for responsible media consumption today? Media literacy is important for responsible media consumption today because, you simply don’t want the wrong information given to you. The ability to filter information from the media is called “media literacy”. Being media literate, means your able to form or create your own opinion from another source and put it in your own words based off what you have learned. We can use mass media to enhance our everyday lives and culture if we use critical thinking, and be careful when obtaining and filtering
