CONCEPT-3: EVIDENCE BASED NURSING PRACTICE Evidence based practice which is broadly defined as use of best clinical evidence in making patient care decisions. The roots of evidence based practice can be formed in the emergence of evidence based medicine in the early 1990s.Evidence based practice or evidence based decision making is rapidly developing as a growth industry in nursing and the health professions more widely.EBP has emerged as a marker for health care quality. Evidence based practice is a covert method of rationing resources is overly simplistic and constrains professional autonomy. It will help to minimize the potential harm of interventions and potential benefits maximized. PERSONAL CONTEXT Evidence based nursing practice is aimed at hardwiring current knowledge into common care decisions to improve care processes and patient outcomes.EBP holds great promise for producing the intend health outcome. Evidence based nursing practice will help to improve quality of care, so patient will be more satisfied and the nurse also have more happy for the good out come. EBP not giving patient care only, but also cover all the aspect of a patient, means -emotional, mental, social and cultural aspect. It will help the patient to trust more in the care and treatment. Quality improvement of health care facility, will attract more patients to the hospital. Good communication is very effective in evidence based practice ,if we are giving care in a society or community, first we have to assess the patient problem, plan, implement and evaluate, so these step by step process will give more clarity to the treatment ,we can impress patient and patient
