Evidence-based management (EBMgt) is the systematized use of the best available evidence to improve management practice. Evidence-based management is about making decisions through the attentive, detailed, and sensible use of four sources of information: practitioner expertise and judgment, evidence from the local context, a critical evaluation of the best available research evidence, and the perspectives of those people who might be affected by the decision (Reay, Berta, & Kohn, 2009). At its core, Evidence-based management helps managers focus on the need for professional reflection and judgment about the validity and value of various kinds of evidence in the decisions they make. Face the hard facts, and build a culture in which people are encouraged to tell the truth, even if it is unpleasant. 2. Be committed to “fact based” decision making—which means being committed to getting the best evidence and using it to guide actions. 3. Treat your organization as an unfinished prototype—encourage experimentation and learning by doing. 4. Look for the risks and drawbacks in what people recommend—even the best medicine has side effects. 5. Avoid basing decisions on untested but strongly held beliefs, what you have done in the past, or on uncritical “benchmarking” of what winners do. Although evidence-based management will offer a model for practice, it is strongly recommended to provide an atmosphere for learning and reflection supported by giving feedback in real settings. In addition, evidence based management helps to implement staffing by clearly helping to define accuracy in the roles we are aiming to fill. Furthermore, it also helps to improve trust and sufficient involvement in decision making pertaining to work design and work flow, provides the opportunity for more decision making. Also, evidence based management further provides the best available evidence and provide employers with valid and solidified strategies to maximize their collective efforts to effect positive outcomes through effective staffing and workload
