Here is a short play about the story of “The Somonying of Everyman” has this notion is about man’s morality and salvation with God, which will be used by the writer’s conviction in irony and figurative behavior while walking with the main characters of Everyman through this pilgrimage that God, commanded. In relationship to this story, this research will discuss the writer’s awareness of death and the behavior of Death in Everyman.

The Perception of death in Everyman is conformity with the author’s unquestionable and bound to happen on the fact that Everyman should meet with expectation of life. Besides, Everyman has neglected his spiritual life, but as the play develops Everyman repents of his sins on time before Judgment. Summoned by Death, Everyman comes to the reality of facing death when he does not want to die. Therefore, Everyman search for a companion while on this pilgrimage to give an account on his life before the high judge “Adonai”. For this reason, Everyman finally realizes that all his friends and peers all throughout life abandon him. 
In Everyman’s exemplifies definition of Death in this short story has played a most important role, which has come to life, and corresponds to what God's messenger to visit Everyman, who is the protagonist of the play. This short story demonstrates a universal truth that everyman in this world is to meet death some day, while the author of this story present death as an antagonist. The antagonist character of the story aims to represent natural phenomena of death. However, “the consumption of the word death has been the focal point of interest for people because of its fervent impact on the people's mind” (Garner, 1987). In conclusion, the author of Everyman perceives death as undeniable while treating it as something we can and should expect. The unknown author uses Death as an allegory of physical death to be able visualize an invisible idea. This idea that often traps humans in fear and causes a great deal of concern to humanity. While the fear of death is common, the author shows God ultimately has control over death and uses it to bring people to Him. Death is a part of the human condition but not apart of His eternal plan. There are many truths to be found in the play Everyman. The author, through the use of allegorical representation, presents death throughout the play of Everyman and uses it to stir the reader's heart and bring about a closer understanding of the Christian faith.
