In Singapore, event management is a large sector and it is growing rapidly along with Singapore’s position as a global business city. Singapore is known to be a country with excellence meeting and convention spots and a preferred destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions (MICE) and other events. As Singapore is strategically located at the crossroads of multiple air and sea routes, it is able to provide convenience for people travelling to Singapore, with many direct flights from other countries. In 2013, Singapore managed to host 3.5 million business visitors, it is an increase of 3% compared to 2012 (STB, 2015). With many large-scale events and world congresses that were held in Singapore for the first time, there were a large increase in the number of delegates and attendee that flew to Singapore. Meanwhile, existing events also experiences an increase in attendances. In order to improve the event industry and aid event organisers in Singapore, Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau (SECB) introduces programmes and incentives, one such programmes is the Singapore MICE Advantage Programme (SMAP). It makes it easier and more convenient for clients when they hires CNS for services as CNS provides all services that they needed and they need not find another company. CNS will always keep in mind the importance of branding and protecting our clients’ image. CNS also charges those clients that they have work with for a long time a discount rate of 5 to 10%. CNS does these in order to build a good relationship with their clients and retain them. However the weakness of CNS is that it is unable to innovate and continue growing due to the company currently operating at full capacity. In order to continue growing, CNS have to send their staff for training or to improve their innovation. CNS also need to hire new and capable stuff and trained them to be industry players.
