Each and every believer has been called to spread the gospel. On the day we confessed our faith we were ushered into accountability for this very purpose. We received a commanded to make it one of our top five duties unto the Lord we serve. That responsibility was to share what was good and perfect in our lives. There are no options to not do the work, nor does the work require gifts which are not already present in the believer. Nevertheless, I believe that many shy away from the opportunity because they have been calibrated to believe that some obligations, especially this one, are only earmarked for the clergy. It is Gods way for us, common folk, could be used to reach a lost world. The Word says we are commanded to, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20)." Comments that come from Jesus should be considered non-negotiable terms to our daily Christian covenant with God. And we should be blessed as a result of bring this good news to others to hear. Isaiah says, "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns."" We do! I have been given the responsibility to support the vision of the church and to establish a 5-year strategic plan for the evangelism pillar. The goal of the BBC Evangelism plan is to enable the congregation of Bethlehem to reach the lost, and unchurched, with a message of hope, redemption and salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. I am responsible for developing the means to ensure that we seek to live out the great commission by developing the church to have a significant impact on the its surround communities. I am doing this by driving the team to meet the needs of our neighbors providing the light of Jesus for all those to see. Our measure will be to see how Bethlehem has personally been involved in the areas where we worship, commute and live. This movement starts with the internal ministry having an external focused which seeks to teach a shared common goal of reaching all of Gods people with a message of unity in Christ Jesus.
