The period of 1880 to 1914 was crucial to European states as the growth of a want for more was beginning to uprise. Imperialism came right after the Second Industrial Revolution as New Technologies could start to be used in order to travel efficiently. With their power to explore beyond Europe, colonies were beginning to be created for the production of more materials. The sense of wanting to slow superiority also was a need for Europeans. British Politician lord Rosebery who played a large in imperialism as Great Britain was one of the strongest conqueror's in the age of Imperialism, claims this sense of superiority was key. His point of view as a English Conqueror helps to show that the true reason behind the traveling was this want to be the more superior race. They also wanted to help out Africa, as maybe Africa could do them good as well. In facts, new technologies such as the telegraph, trains, and new medications were, instituted into Africa.
