Lack of attention for Indian food Ethnic Indian food known for its Rich, fragrant and appetizing taste flourishes have been increasing over the last few decades and are becoming more prominent on grocery store shelves due to the increase of the Indian population in the U.S., although, Ethnic Indian food are growing at prompt speed in American, but when comparing to other ethnic food such as Latino and Chinese where there are over 40,000 Chinese and Latino restaurants in the United states compared to that there are little over 5,000 Indian restaurants in United states which shows that it is nowhere near that level of popularity as these ethnic food (Para. 2). But their main delicious dishes are not gaining that much popularity and one of the main reason is because people usually find Indian foods to be very hot and spicy, which is something most Americans doesn’t prefer which is why according to the specialty food association Indian food accounts for only 1.2 percent (Para.4). Also, even though, American is an immigrant’s country and people from all over the worlds with different taste buds, most of the people don't really like spicy food. However, there are quite a few large numbers of people who loves spicy food and some of them are from Mexico and South America. The fact about American loving hot sauce is true, however, they are yet to come to comprehend the level of significant spicy gravies that most Indian restaurant offers. Also, not to mention that most of the best Indian foods are often very hot and spicy, which makes harder to attract more consumers since not that many people like hot and spicy food (Para.6). In addition, often delicious hot and spicy Indian foods are also expensive and that is another disadvantage of gaining attraction from delicious ethnic Indian
