“Hotel Rwanda”, a movie that can explain a series of unfortunate events in the matter of 1-2 hours. “Hotel Rwanda” was a both a fantastic and horrifying movie to watch, due to it covering the horrifying acts of the Rwanda Genocide which lasted only about 3 months, and had a death toll of 500,000 to 1 million people. “Hotel Rwanda” presented itself clearly on what was going on in the situation and how the situation had gotten worse in a short period of time. “Hotel Rwanda” also showed how one Hutu man can find a way to gain safety for his family and also find a way to shelter over 1,500 Hutu and Tutsi people in need of safety. The overall movie explains in great detail what the Rwanda Genocide was and the events that led to the deaths of almost a million innocent people. …show more content…

Many of the Tutsi people have had their rights taken away by being captured, tortured then killed, being dehumanized and being called cockroaches, women specifically being captured, abused and raped, and innocents killed by machetes, clubs, etc. Many of these acts of violence are basically eliminating the human rights for the Tutsi people. Many of the human rights of the Tutsi people were taken away when the Hutu radio classified the Tutsi's as rebels or “People who have brought us down” or blaming the Tutsi for everything, as said in the movie. The human rights of the Tutsi people were taken away by not giving them full rights of course, taking away their homes by either burning it, etc and were
