Woodstock Concert Imagine that you are at a concert, it’s all well and good. At least the music’s nice. Now imagine that you are in a much bigger concert, one with half a million people in it. Welcome to the Woodstock Concert: 3 days of peace and music. Woodstock was a concert in the sixties that brought so many people they couldn’t keep track of all of them. This and many more points is what makes Woodstock a special point in history. Points like how everyone wanted to go, how it shows a slice of life in the sixties, and how it remembered in history. At this point in time the Vietnam War was occurring and due to this war a group known as hippies were huge and because of the name and bands who also hated the war brought a plethora of hippies. Also everything was peace due to the group and there were almost no fights during the concert. Also, being the 1960’s everything was cheap. Any kid today would be amazed by how much things costs. Food at the concert (when there was) was super cheap in today’s money. I would go back in time to the 30’s to see how rich I am with 50$. Probably not that rich. Being cemented in part of history makes it pretty easy to remember. Where the concert was performed there is now a plaque in its memory with the poster’s logo on it. Not only that, but after only a year after the concert someone made a documentary about it and how it happened. Not only did one concert happen, but people have tried to recapture the magic by making concerts in Woodstock’s name. That sounds pretty important to me. So, long story short, Woodstock has been one of the most memorable moments in history. Everyone wanted to go to it, it showed a part of life in the 60’s, and it has been engraved into people’s memory as a part of history. Woodstock is truly worth the praise Animaniacs give
