Welders, a trained professional who joins two pieces of metal to form one piece, is a career I wish to pursue because the pay is good, I get to travel and meet lots of people. My interest in welding started about a year or two ago, when my brother first became one. I don’t know why it is but I like the career, maybe it's because I get to work with metal and fire. The problems that I can see in pursuing this career is getting the right certifications and traveling to work. I would like a job in this career because I like working with metal and fire, also the pay is good too. Welding, it requires a certain set of skills, for example, someone going into this career will need to know all the types of welding machines and how to properly use them. Also for someone entering this skill, will have to get special certifications that state that the given person is qualified to weld different types of metals and states that so and so is more qualified than others …show more content…

Welders also get insurance, but as personal benefits welders have a medium level of social contact(“Working Conditions” 1). The pay for welders is good as well, mostly because a person in this career has a chance of getting badly hurt. This career also will appeal to hands on learners, because everything in this career is hands on. There are a lot more benefits for someone who likes physical exercise, there's lots of heavy lifting involved. The chances of me getting a job in this career field are somewhat good, I need to learn more about the career before I can start a career. I don't really possess very many qualifications for this career yet, but I am hoping to learn as I pursue this career. The place I plan on living is wherever the career plans on sending me, in this career it isn't unusual to move around to wherever the company plans on sending me.
