The Bill and Ted project provided an insightful look on the topic I chose. The rise of the Tang dynasty was essential for Chinese intellectual development.
To begin with, the fall of the Sui dynasty was also the rise of the Tang dynasty. The decline began once Sui rulers failed to conquer Korea. The Sui rulers depleted resources and their violent ways caused the citizen to resent them. The peasants began to rebel, one was led by Li Yuan, a Sui military commander. Once Yangdi, the then-current emperor was assassinated by his general’s son, the Sui dynasty fell. Then, Li Yuan, later known as Gazou, was able to take control of the government, marking the beginning of the Tang dynasty. Gazou unified China and oversaw the “golden age” of achievement in China. …show more content…

I made the costumes and props on November 22nd and 24th with Yannie at my house. Yannie brought the fabric, paint, and duct tape, and I brought the cardboard boxes. The costumes were patterned sheets of fabric and the props were made out of cardboard boxes. We didn’t make sets because Zain said there was a hill across the street from his house that we could use to film.
For my group member’s part of the video, I helped record, make costumes, and act in my group members’ videos. For the introduction scene, I made the time traveling box with Yannie. For Yannie’s part (The Rise of the Qin Dynasty), I made the emperor’s hat, the swords, and armor with Yannie. In the video, I was a soldier and I peasant. I also recorded several scenes.
