When you meet someone you fall in love with, everything about you can change; it can make you do crazy things driven by your heart. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is a play about two young kids from rival families who fall in love and get married. They went through many things together in their short lived lives before they killed themselves to be with each other. Juliet, initially skeptical of her love for Romeo, transforms by the end of the drama and is willing to die to be with him. As young people grow up and meet new people, one’s beliefs evolve. Juliet is a great example of a young, carefree girl. When Lady Capulet, Juliet’s mother, asked her about marriage Juliet voiced, “It is an honor I do not dream of” (1.3.43). Juliet’s love is so strong for Romeo that she is willing to die to be with him when she finds him dead. As Juliet sees Romeo’s dead body, she exclaims, “Oh, good a knife!” (5.3.275). By the end of the play Juliet killed herself to be with Romeo. The love between them was very strong and they did not want to be apart. In this scene both Romeo and Juliet’s actions were steered by love not logic. It is not a good idea to kill yourself just because your love is dead. There are other ways of dealing with this and Juliet did not go about this right way. Their love was very strong they both died so they could be together. Juliet transforms from a young and carefree girl into a girl who is willing to die for love. She was very skeptical in the beginning of her and Romeo’s relationship but by the end she was very sure of her decision. When you are young you are not mature enough to know what love really is. Love can also push you to do things never thought of. As we grow up we can fall in love. It is important to always think before acting when you are in love.
