American citizens need to understand that the Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were an act of retaliation from Americans and an attempt to end war. The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, which caused the United States to fire back. This event has marked a huge spot in the history of our country. This memorable event occurred in 1945, during World War II. In fact, the bombings were a huge help to the ending of the war. The war had caused the United States to come up with the fastest way to make it end along with retaliating over the attack on Pearl Harbor, so their solution was this. There were hundreds of thousands of deaths, and over 70% of Hiroshima’s buildings and 39% of Nagasaki’s were demolished. Also, there was an in-depth order for the bombing of Hiroshima called “Bombs: Special.” This command was brought on the Enola Gay, which was one of the airplanes that carried a bomb, with Jacob Beser, who was instructed to prevent Japanese radars from neutralizing the atomic bomb, with its switch.
