Obesity in America is a growing issue that plagues many people and families. it is seen as an uncontrollable ailment that many people in the world face. Obesity is treated as a disease rather than a consequence of one's actions and lifestyle choices. This undoubtedly wrong and a failure on anyone who supports them. There is no such thing as fat shaming, it is simply people who want to live gluttonous lifestyles and not face social consequences, then being faced with unexpected conviction for being emotionally and mentally weak.

Obesity in America is seen as more of an unavoidable issue / disease than a lifestyle consequence. This is unfortunate because society as a whole is becoming enablers. Obesity can break up families because they cannot handle the responsibility of taking care of that certain family member. The simple fact is that people can fix this by simply making it an unacceptable act of ignorance or gluttony. many of these people receive government handouts for “disability” due to a simple choice this person has made in their life while their are many other people who need it much more than they do and are at least making an effort in life.

In conclusion, obesity in not a chronic illness and should never be treated as such. People who claim this should be ashamed for taking advantage of the system and every American taxpayer who has to sacrifice some of their hard earned money to pay for someone living on a free ride. It is disheartening to know there are American who support these people and their horrible decisions.
