Lord Of The Flies with John Locke

In the movie, Lord of the flies, there is an unstable and chaotic government because people can't agree how to run it. John Locke would not approve of this because the government on the island was unreasonable because the power was in one person's hands, people had different opinions and thoughts, and Jack did not think Ralph could run the island.
The first problem was that the power was in one person's hands. At the beginning of the story, the people vote on this government of one person in power. Ralph made all the choices for all of the people on the island. When there was a meeting and things were voted on, people never followed through and the laws were not enforced. Jack thought they needed to hunt for food so that they would all survive. He believed that they needed to get food and live on the island because no one is coming to rescue them. Rolf had different ideas. In The Lord of the Flies, he believed that they needed to get away from the island and make a fire to signal planes and boats they are on the island. John Locke would not agree because they should have voted on what the majority wanted and agreed on what they should do to support the group's decision. They voted on him in a fair and reasonable way. Ralph got the most of the islands votes, he offered an additional vote and gave people jobs. John Locke would agree with this process because he supported and believed in voting, there had been an election, and people were allowed to vote on what they wanted to do and believed.
Someone may disagree again that people had different opinions. If they did have different opinions, they voted on them. The people didn't have to all agree because they voted on what they wanted to do and how. John Locke would approve of this process because they voted and people have to agree with what was divided in the vote.
The people of the island voted on things but Ralph continued to have all of the power. The power should have been divided in more than one person's hands, such as 25% for Ralph, 25% for Jack, and 50% for the people. In the movie, Ralph had all of the power and there was not enough voting opportunities to change things that the people wanted to to like build houses, hunt and keep the fire going. The people were somewhat assigned jobs without much consideration.
