Not all Families are perfect. Some argue, some fight, some even stop talking to each other at times, but in the end, family is family. The love will always be there no matter what. Everyone has their own definition of what FAMILY means to them. The real question is, do we know what Family really stands for? FAMILY stands for (F)ather (A)nd (M)other (I) (L)ove (Y)ou. You don’t need a Father or Mother figure in your life, they are whatever we consider a family to be. To me, a happy family is a group of people who mean so much to one another, that you are willing to do anything for. They are people who have much love, joy and happiness for each other that they don’t have any arguments and just have a lot of happiness. Josie (Grandma) always told me that “she teaches her kids and grandkids the meaning of respect for others (saying hello to family members, hug/kiss while greeting, and respecting your elders)” Family is where we learn the social graces of loyalty, cooperation, and trust in the divine in nature and that God designates it as the fundamental building block of society, both on earth and through eternity (Family Values).
