Barack Obama, Tyler Perry, and Oprah Winfrey are leaders who have excelled in various professions. Whereas Obama gained success in U.S. politics by holding two terms in office, Oprah and Tyler have done remarkably well in the American media industry. Therefore, the methodology used to identify and research the leaders mentioned above is based on the success achieved in their careers due to their exceptional ethics and values. All of them have qualities and habits of effective leaders.
As the 44th President of the United States, Obama demonstrated various forms of leadership styles during his presidency (Ecoggins, 2016). First, Obama utilized transformational leadership style. It is through her charisma to influence others while attracting their admiration and attention to dream big that she is considered a transformation leader.
Last but not least, Tyler has qualities that make him a leader. As an entertainer, filmmaker, and actor, Tyler has truly demonstrated that he is a leader through his faith, business, as well as his purpose in creating an inclusive culture (Leadercast, n.d). By observing his large media business and entrepreneurial success, Tyler can be considered a transformational leader. He inspires a loyal fan following through his creativity.
