Everyone has a family member that can look like them or they don’t. There is always something that you can say is similar and /or different. It is just like when people compare and contrast books. “The Black Cat” by Edgar Allan Poe is about a person killing a cat the reason to all of his is because he has a drinking problem. “The Tell-Tale Heart” also by Poe is about a person killing an old man because of his eye..The short stories “The Black Cat”Poe and “The Tell-Tale Heart” are similar, but they have their differences in theme and author's craft. “The Black Cat” and “The Tell-Tale Heart” share a similar theme which is don’t let the things that bother you control you. In the “The Tell-Tale Heart,” the narrator kills the old man, so he let the evil man in him do something evil and that evil thing he did was killing the old man. In “The Black Cat”, the narrator kills an animal and his wife because of his the evil person in himself. .Him and his wife both loved animals.But then the narrator stated to drink and it was not the prettiest sight that you would have wanted to see. He killed his cat and then went on about how it changed his life. The cops saw his cat died. Basically, this would all be avoided if he did not start drinking in the first place.
