The Parables are stories that Jesus told in order to teach us lessons. Jesus told parables on many different topics. Some examples of this are: how to attain the Kingdom of God and steps for us to grow both in spirit and knowledge. These parables are derived from everyday situations and compare these common occurrences to possible situations from which many can learn. In order to further explain his lessons, Jesus often includes ways that the happenings in nature can relate to the daily lives of people and how its simplicity contains a plethora of information on how to correctly lead lives. Though they may be hard to comprehend now, the parables give an important insight into how Jesus God expect us to act.
There are several parables devoted to explaining how to attain the Kingdom of God and its significance. “The Parable of the Mustard Seed” and “The Yeast” explain how the Kingdom grew large and spread throughout the world.
