Electrical Engineering entails many benefits but also many sacrifices. It is not a job for everybody but it is a necessity in the modern times. Without Electrical Engineering, there would be no phone upgrades, no solar panels, no ways of conserving energy. This is a career that touches every living person on the planet. The reason this career was chosen was because of family business and my interest in anything electric. I’ve always been interested in how electricity works, even when I was a as young as 5. I would build my own simple circuits and light up my room when I was little. So this has always been an interest for me and I love it! But first, get my bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, start in the company promoted and go on from there. Easy enough for anybody with even little interest in Electrical Engineering. Now, I have way more than a little so the education and training will be as easy as pie for me.
Education, training and experience are rigorous but passable. “In order to enter the occupation, prospective electrical and electronics engineers need a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or electrical engineering technology.” There’s 3 areas, so the study varies which is a positive. Also another positive would be working indoors. This is great for anybody. Especially staying in the South when summer temperatures soar into the 90s. “Electrical and electronics engineers generally work indoors in offices. However, they may visit sites to observe a problem or a piece of complex equipment.”. Sounds like a dream environment for many! By applying principles and techniques of electronic engineering they design, develop, and manufacture products such as computers, telephones, radios, and stereo systems (EGOE, 121). Electrical engineers touch everyone lives through the things they have designed or created. Electrical engineers have invented the lights in your house, the television, the stereo, the telephone, computers, and even your doctor’s blood pressure gauge (Stine 300).
Household energy conservation is a very practical and realistic approach to conserving energy within our society. US households consume a tremendous amount of natural gas as well as electric energy. It has been calculated that the amount of energy consumed within the US increased exponentially from about 1850 to 1975. If energy continued to increase at this rate, we would be experiencing severe energy shortages in our current society. Luckily, steps towards conservation, including various energy regulations, have curbed that growth somewhat, brining the predicted 160 Qbtu/yr for the year 2000 down to around 93.8 Qbtu/yr by the year 1996. However, household energy usage is still a major issue as households consume about 38% of the total consumed energy and contribute greatly to natural gas consumption and issues such as global warming. Therefore, it is important that people understand how we use energy in the household and what steps can be taken to conserve that energy.

As an engineer, there are four major different areas of engineering work that I can concern about, that is chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Beyond this four, sources separate to other main branches.
