Ender's Game adaptation movie review Gavin Hood the director of ender's game south African filmmaker he has directed the movies wolverine and Ender's game. The author of Ender’s game is Orson Scott Card 1989 science fiction novel The movie did kind of a bad adaptation of the book if you look at Andrew he looks like he is older than eight and way taller than what everyone thought he was going to look like. just like bean it said bean was taller than Andrew but yet in the movie bean was way shorter than ender was. the battle rooms were nothing alike in the book there were several ones with different things and don't look the same but in the movie there is just one and in every battle they go to it looks the exact same nothing ever changes.

Ender is selected to go to Battle School in space because of the actions he has displayed against a bully after a device known as a monitor, which allows the leaders of the I.F. to watch and hear everything Ender perceives. Although Ender’s conception was predetermined (in this time period, families are only allowed to have two children unless stated by the government which is why Ender is often called a “Third”), he had to display the correct characteristics to be selected. Ender’s siblings, Peter and Valentine also wore the monitor, but neither wore it as long nor was selected because Peter was too cruel and Valentine was too mild. Once Ender arrives, he makes a couple new friends from the other selected children, including a boy named Alai. In Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card, we see the life, struggles, and choices of Ender Wiggin. After reading the book, we as the readers can interpret what we believe the book was meant to accomplish in terms of the moral questions it raises. Some believe that Card wrote the book as a self-serving justification of Enders actions. However, I believe that the story is not a justification of Enders actions, but instead an illustration of the abuse and mistreatment of a young child.
Andrew Wiggin is the main character in the novel, Ender’s Game. His nickname is Ender. Andrew got his nickname from his older sister Valentine when he was born because Valentine was unable to say the name “Andrew”, so she called him Ender. It has specific meaning in the book because of the fact that Ender is expected to be able to ‘end’ events that someone else had started before him.
Orson Scott Card uses many themes in Ender’s Game to portray the type of person that Ender is becoming. The importance of the mind game, Ender’s techniques, and isolation from others are extensive themes that provide important in depth information about the world around Ender. As Ender faces various obstacles that affect his mental state, he portrays how his use of violent actions is affected by the very few options he has. Firstly, Ender’s pursuit of victory is stalled as it causes him to expose his feelings in a form causing destruction. After playing the level repetitively he thought to himself, “I hate this game. It isn’t fair. It’s stupid. It’s rotten…..He jumped at the giant’s face, clambered up his lip and nose, and began to dig in the giant’s eye. The stuff came away like cottage cheese, and as the giant screamed, Ender’s finger burrowed into the eye, climbed right in, burrowed in and in,” ( Scott 52 PDF Version). Due to the lack of choices after repetitively losing to the giant, Ender’s next actions were based on violence as he realizes that the giant is trying to affect his feelings thus forming the solution that he must kill in order to pursuit victory. War games is a movie about a high school boy named David and how his deceiving and hacking nearly started a war. He can hack into computers and is great with machines. For David, hacking into his school’s computers to change his grades is a walk in the park. But sometimes doing bad can lead to worse. David simply tried to hack into an army base to play a game. The game he chose was Global Thermonuclear War. Hacking into this military game caused an unfortunate turn of events. Not until after he had started playing did David realize he might have started World War III.

Page 218 describes Ender’s men passed through the gate without soldiers before the gate was reversed. He had to cheat because he was exhausted and he needed assistance. Ender was battling two teams at once, never done before at battle school.. Finally every game has a final stage or battle. In Ender’s Game the final battle was against the buggers. Ender fights them on page 297. Ender was actually tricked into fighting them. This point proves how life is a game because games have a final battle/stage and Ender fought in one. Ender as a game piece, cheating and fighting in a final stage/battle prove how life is a game.
In Orson Scott Card’s novel, Enders Game, at the age of six, Ender is chosen by Colonel Graff and the International Fleet to help save mankind from the buggers. However, through his journey, he experiences manipulation and deception from significant figures that surround his life. This deceit from Colonel Graff, Valentine, and Mazor Rackham is focused on defeating the buggers in the Third Invasion.
I related to Ender with many of the decisions that he was forced to make. I agree with his philosophy about ending the fight so that no more fights can grow from it, finishing your opponent, but only in self defense, and standing up too bully's. Ender's game reminded me of countries that expect to much for their children, and that would give everything for them to succeed, almost like overprotective parents.

He up agents a whole planet and a vast number of ships. He ends up winning by using a secret weapon on the planet that blows it up. When he finishes the battle he realizes that everyone is cheering behind him. When he asks why they tell him that all of his missions were real ones against the buggers and that he had just destroyed all of the buggers. My favorite character in this book is Ender. He is my favorite character for many reasons.
