Egypt: As Ra rise upon the Day; Egyptians knowledge has flown to the distant future. A French Man named Pierre-François Bounchard found a stone, The Rosetta Stone, which was inscribed with hieroglyphs of Egyptians Culture. Consciousnesses of the stone were unveiled; where descendents of the Earth was able to learn about the magnified culture of the beauty called Egypt. Oh… Wait, look there is another piece of Egyptian history called the Pyramids; it was employed as a symbol of Royal Power. Wait! Wasn’t the Palace of Versailles employed as a symbol of Royal Power for Louis XIV? Oh, whatever, Egyptian believed that they was the first to create a writing system & alphabet and the civilization throughout history are just basing or copying their writing system and alphabet off them. Ain’t Egyptian so full of themselves? But as Nut falls upon the Night, Egyptians had 3 eras of power, which sadly has fallen just like Rome had 3 eras of power (Rome, Constantinople, Russia (Roman influences)), which has fallen as well. Greece: The stream of time has reached Greece, right? Our culture has change and adapt, while Egyptian culture never changes. Why is that? Uh… take one moment to think and don’t hurt yourself now…. Bing the answer is we was in a @#$#$hole of geography, really didn’t have agricultural soil. Our Minds was bright as Zeus lightning bolts, meaning our brains was huge and we was so full of ourselves. We decided to expose ourselves to sea-trading and trading culture. Becoming a dynamite culture in the process. Realization of our ideas had spreads across time to the Renaissance were it began to be known as the classical, since them idiots in the Renaissance can’t think for themselves they had to be inspire by us old folks. Hmm. B... ... middle of paper ... ...tion. (Your welcome America, thanks to us, Great Britain tax you more, but in the end you are free unlike us.) Nationalism, Imperialism, and Colonialism: Hail…. Hail…. Birth of Isms, Causing so many wars; we are so proud of ourselves. We are the Isms, We are the passion of others, (Since they are so gullible, and bunch of idiots) causing everyone to wake up from their eternal sleep. The little French man named Napoleon, creating the Napoleonic Code, leading to Nationalism, giving people the revolution fever, causing them wake up their national identity and one’s love for one’s country. Leading to colonialism, causing the Seven yrs. War, Britain, France, and Spain strived against each other over trade & colonials. (Look like they are at it again, causing more war over some petty rivalries. Grow up!) We are the Isms….. Passions of others….. Be proud to worship us.

    In 1799, when Napoleon’s army was dismantling a wall in Rashid, Egypt, they discovered the Rosetta Stone. Little did they know that this 11-inch thick piece of rock would be one of the greatest discoveries in history! It contained Egyptian scripture, with Greek also on the stone. This was used to decode the once lost Egyptian writing system. Before the 1800’s, attempts at trying to uncover the secrets held by the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics found on walls inside numerous tombs were useless. The pictures were falsely believed to be symbolic, representing some sort of object or idea. Something soon changed all of this misconception. 1799 was the year of a great breakthrough in Egyptology. French troops, under Napoleon’s command, were destroying a wall when they found a black, basalt stone. The stone was inscribed with three different forms of writing: Egyptian hieroglyphics, a shorthand form of hieroglyphs, and Greek written in 196 BC. The Rosetta Stone then became instrumental in decrypting the long forgotten Egyptian writing system. The stone was first discovered near Rosetta, Egypt, by one of Napoleon's soldiers, named variously as Bouchard, during his expedition to Egypt in August of 1799. In no time, this discovery was mentioned to all the top scholars who were immensely interested since there was no way to decode the hieroglyphs. In 1802, Johan David Akerblad was the first to break ground in identifying the first demotic symbols. He identified a few of the proper names in the demotic text, after comparing them with the same names found in the Greek text. (Ogg 78) Next on the scene was Thomas Young, an English physicist, who took an interest to the deciphering the Rosetta Stone as well. After much researching, Young was able to prove that the proper names in the hieroglyphics section of the stone did in fact have phonetic value, and were not made up of symbols. He then introduced the idea of the proper names being written with ovals around them, known as cartouches. In reality, the hieroglyphs only contained six. Of the phonetic values that he assigned to hieroglyphs, five were correct (p, t, i, n, and f). (Budge 54) In 1814, he revealed the way in which the hieroglyphic signs were to be read by studying the direction in which the birds and other animals were all facing.
