Household and farming chemicals can also harm our atmosphere. Crop dusting, fumigating homes, household cleaning products, painting supplies, over the counter insect or pest killers, and fertilizer dust can emit harmful chemicals into the air and causes air pollution as well. We may fall ill if we breathe in any of these products. A lot of activities that we as humans do everyday result in air pollution. But, who does it effect? Are we, as humans, safe? If we continue to expose the air to harmful toxin, we will affect future generations and may even decrease the population in the long run. The major factors humans contribute to air pollution are small things we do on a daily basis such as driving a car or gardening/farming. Pesticides are used to kill indoor and outdoor pests which cause both indoor and outdoor air pollution. Herbicides are used to kill weeds in farms but also cause many issues in regards to air pollution. Fertilizer dust is used almost everyday, by farmers, to help plants grow. Fertilizer dust is also a factor in outdoor air pollution. When you 're going somewhere with your family, there may be traffic; every car in that traffic jam is adding pollutants to the air. Cutting down on air pollution is an important step to going green. A number of events in your lifestyle affect the enviorment. The big results come when everyone is making such a contribution. Start by saving energy around the house. The U.S Enviormental Protection Agency says the saving energy can reduce carbon emmissions. One way to help save energy would be using compact fluorescent bulbs instead of the standard lightbulbs. The less energy you use, the more green you are.. Also, we could reduce the amount of time you spend in the car. Carpool or use public transportation whenever you can. If you 're commuting a short distance, walk or even take a bike. This can save an average person $1,000 dollars per year and help to reduce air pollution. When you drive a car a short distance, think of every living thing that you are harming. Taking a bike, carpooling, or even walking are all worth it if you are trying to save the Earth and money. Air pollution is a very serious issue going on internationally. If we, as humans, can do just the smallest of things to assist, we can slowly fix our air pollution situation. Always make the green choice, and think about the Earth when making a decision.
