The development of educationbegan inthe United Arab Emiratesin 1962. The number of the schools did not exceed20.It was attended byfewer than4,000 students, mostly male. The infrastructure were notavailablefor manyof thebasic social services, such as hospitals, airports, housing,.etc.There was also agreat shortage ofmanpower.Sheikh Zayed bin SultanAl Nahyan,the founder of The UAE said:"The experience of the Union, which passed outof our state, is a new experienceand unique, and we have paidtothis unionbelief inthe need to achievewell-beingfor our citizens.” This essay will discuss the UAE development in education before and after the fuel discovery and its effect on The UAE.

The history of education in the UAE in ancient civilizations has been found in several historical sites.
