My past educational experience well suits me for the academics to come in college.
My high school has instilled hard work ethic, respect, study habits and time management skills needed to bring into college. I strongly believe that my teachers and peers have guided me through these years of highschool both socially and academically. In addition I need to make good relationships with students and teachers who will be helpful in my education. East Carolina has these necessary tools and groups of professors and students which would enhance my college experience. Throughout high school I was part of my cross country team which instilled hard work ethic and mental toughness. As a captain for my team I take on leadership and set an example for the rest of the team. These traits I take from running should come with me into college in a positive way. From freshman year until senior year I had worked my way up through grueling workouts and making sure I made it to practice each day. In addition, I would spend my winter and spring running track and then train for cross country in the fall during the summer. My hard work and attendance finally payed off when my coach named me captain. I take on the role of leadership,attendance , mental toughness, and obedience as I set an example for the rest of the team. It helped shape my high school experience because most of it revolved around school work and my practices and friends from cross country. I also believe these characteristics will follow me through
