Although the decision of where to attend Graduate school may be difficult for some, this was one of the easiest decisions I have made about my future. The past four years at ECU have helped me grow into the person I am today and helped me decide to stay at ECU for the MSA program. The experiences I have encountered while in college have helped me reach my goals and I look forward to other experiences at ECU that will help me accomplish my short-term and long-term career goals. Likewise, the staff, the program structure, and the opportunities that the College of Business MSA program offers are a few of the reasons that I decided to continue my studies at ECU. From the College of Business administrators, to the Accounting Department, to Student Affairs everyone has always been so helpful. I can’t imagine how my time and experiences would have differed if it weren’t for the amazing support and mentorship from the people with whom I have worked. From Financial Accounting all the way to Advanced, every professor that I have come in contact with has always been willing to help. Whether it was a personal emergency or just guidance on my upcoming interview process someone was always eager to lend a hand. Professors may not always receive the appreciation that they deserve for going the extra mile to help students. However, for me it is always in the back of my mind when I am speaking of them or reminded of their generosity. Their genuine care for students and their love for accounting definitely shows in their everyday interactions. I have been fortunate to have worked with professors who have been able to teach me the accounting material that I need for my future career, while teaching me the necessary skills to be professional and successful in my everyday life through mentorship and guidance. Thankfully, with their assistance I have been successful in my college career and hope to continue that success with these professor mentors during the MSA
