Did you know that a study on university students shows that the students started drinking more after the twenty-one drinking age law? Many teenagers drink illegally these days. Even with the twenty-one age rule, teenagers are still drinking with no adult supervision which can lead to many accidents like a car accident. In my opinion I strongly feel that the drinking age twenty-one should be lowered because parents will have more control over their teenager, according to a study, university students have started drinking more after the twenty-one law, and finally teenagers who are nineteen and eighteen or under drink now in the U.S.! For example someone said on pubs.niaaaa.nih.gov that " This Alcoholic Alert reviews some common disorders associated with alcohol-related brain damage." This person states that alcohol causes brain damage but I want to add that even with the twenty one rule,teenagers are still out there drinking and it's their choosing, if they know the causes then it's their fault. Also before the twenty one rule drinking rates were decreasing so it's better to try to change the age to eighteen and up and see what happens! What I say to this is that as I mentioned before why the age should be lowered is because parents will have more control. There are also educational programs that could help the teenager learn how to control themselves when drinking.
