Following Your Dreams

When we were kids, we were often asked time and time again what our dreams were. “What do you want to be when you grow up?” they ask. Of course, you hear the usual answers like “princess” or “rock star,” but what happens when those same kids grow up? Do they remember those child-like dreams of living in a castle with a diamond crown, or singing on a stage with their faces painted black like the late rock band KISS? Do they leave those dreams behind and give up on those seemingly impossible ideas and shoot lower? I believe if you hold onto those dreams, and reach for what you think to be impossible, you can succeed at anything. What is success, really? To know how dreams lead us to success, we have to know what success is. However, the definition is different for everyone. For me, success is not only in the pure fact of whether or not you reach your dream. It is the pursuit of that dream; it is how you get there.
