Recommended: Donald Trump's political ideology
As the presidential campaigns have begun, it was announced in mid 2015, that Donald Trump, would be running for president . He has been known for his business, politics, and entertainment, which has made many voters like him. But, he has continuously shown that he is not meant to be president because he is racist, sexist, and immature. Donald Trump is what’s wrong with America.
Donald Trump has proven to be a racist man by publicly insulting many people. He has a plan that to deport all immigrants. He also wants to build a wall on the southern border of the US. In fact, Trump was fired from NBC for his racist comments. Trump said, “...when Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists…” Donald has continuously addressed this matter, which has lost him many votes from Mexicans, Blacks, Muslims, and Whites. Donald Trump should not be president because as a racist, he will tear down America with his words.(Slate)

He has offended many notable women in our world today such as reporters, other candidates, and even his own daughter. Donald Trump can’t help but comment on every woman’s appearance, whether it’s good or bad. He said that if he ‘wasn’t related to his daughter, he would definitely date her.’(Huffington Post) New York Times columnist Gail Collins said, “During one down period, I referred to him in print as a ‘financially embattled thousandaire’ and he sent me a copy of the column with my picture circled and ‘the face of a dog’ written over it.”(Bustle) If now he has called many women fat, ugly, and says that they are just here for the looks, imagine what it would be like if Donald Trump became
He is saying these things to bring forth what is already known by most, racism does not have any
Donald Trump is a highly successful business titan, real estate mogul, reality television personality, and now a 2016 presidential candidate. Since announcing his candidacy this past June, he has been very loquacious on his views pertaining to foreign policy. He takes a very realist approach when addressing these issues. His views are very much in line with the belief that the international political arena is not dominated by altruistic ideologies, but rather nation-states that are self-interested. His foreign policy platform centers on using hard power to achieve America’s goals in the Middle East and to eradicate illegal immigration.
This is only one of the many offensive comments he has made throughout his campaign, which I plan on analyzing for the purpose of understanding systemic racism within America. Trumps campaign has been centered on the very controversial topic of immigration policies and the building of a “Great Wall” that is intended to keep the Mexican people, in particular, out of the United States. The idea that someone like Donald Trump could become the President of the United States of America has put fear into the hearts of the American people. Running with the slogan “Make America Great Again” Trump has emphasized that America has failed because of its “lenient” policies towards other countries, and his plan
Because Donald Trump wanted to become a Presidential Candidate to shake up America and our way of choosing a Commander in Chief he has taken the focus off of other candidates. To me, he has done just that. In turn, he has also showcased a lot of his ignorant behavior and poor attitudes towards others. Eventually, this will affect how America votes; against Donald Trump. Furthermore, Donald Trump lacks a Presidential form of social interaction. This candidate appears to be impatient when others challenge his position on facts versus his opinions. When he dislikes someone politically or personally, Trump uses his popular attack-mode tactics to make his point. Repeatedly Donald Trump fails to be intellectually stimulating as a Presidential Candidate. Often he has a habit of stating his offensive
“The beauty of me is that I am very rich” according to Donald Trump. His ignorance has lead him to do things that he shouldn’t being doing or has done. In the past few months he has been racist man that would insult people that are from a different race. When Trump started running for president he would insult and bully everybody in general not knowing the people’s stories. He made people seem like they are poor and have nothing to live for, Trump’s inability to see past his greed. He wants to separate the United States and wants people to think he is the best of the best; Trump should not be President.
He was sued twice for racial discrimination because he did not want to let African americans rent an apartment from his company. Another example that shows trumps racism against black people is an incident happened this November at the campaign rally in Alabama a trump supporter begins kicking an African american that was chanting “black lives matter” while he was already on the floor. The next day after that horrible incident trump speaks about the incident and says“Maybe [the protester] should have been roughed up,” he mused. “It was absolutely disgusting what he was doing.” These are just two out of a lot of different reasons people believe he’s a racist. Trump supporters have been acting out after the election doing and saying racist things to non-whites. For example, “When the rector at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Silver Spring, Maryland opened the church on Sunday morning, he found that a sign advertising Spanish services had been ripped and vandalized with the words, “TRUMP NATION WHITES ONLY.” The same message was written on a brick wall near the church’s memorial garden”. This the action of the trump supporters
During the Republican debate on August 6, 2016, Trump had a falling out with Fox correspondent Megyn Kelly after she questioned him about some of his comments on women, where he referred to them as “’fat pigs’, ‘dogs’, ’slobs’, and ‘disgusting animals’,” (Bahadur). Trump went on to say Megyn was just a “bimbo” and he “did not recognize” the remarks she had said (Bahadur). However, this incident is just one of many times Trump has made belittling comments about women. On May seventh, 2013, Trump tweeted about the ongoing problem of women in the military being raped by other soldiers. He questioned, “What did these geniuses expect when they put men and women together,” (Bahadur). Rape is a very traumatic experience, and the lack of respect he showed towards the women who are laying down their lives for America is very telling of how he views women. Trump simplifies women down to their sexuality with his insensitive comments. For instance, on April 16, 2015, he tweeted, “If Hillary Clinton can’t satisfy her husband, what makes her think she can satisfy America” (Bahadur). Whether Clinton would be a qualified president or not, Trump disregards all her life’s work, and blames her for...
Donald Trump is a successful businessman who has accomplished more than most people could ever dream of. He started in the real estate business and has his own university, appeared on a T.V. show, is a billionaire, has many golf resorts, and is the president of the United States. He is criticized for many of his comments and political views. Some of these views are him wanting to build a wall to protect the United States from illegal immigrants and drugs, wanting to replace The Affordable Care Act, and banning people from Muslim countries to keep out terrorists. Although Donald Trump is often viewed as a controversial figure, he benefitted the United States of America by improving and creating jobs, proving that non-establishment politicians can still win the presidency, and by making America safer.
American wanted him to be president so here you go Donald Trump will be in office coming January 2017. Do I think he should be president? No but did I want Hilary to be president? Hell no! Donald Trump is wrong in so many ways when he says things but I will rather have that then someone I feel owes lots of people in this world many of favors. Honestly the only thing I like about Trump is that he is somewhat a businessman. I know everyone says it but it’s honestly true, the guy is good at what he does. I fell though as in since America is in tremendous debt Trump can use his businessman ability to dig us out of this hole that we are in or he can just possibly make it worst. I don’t think everyone wants to give him a chance to actually prove
Meanwhile, he makes numerous promises to American citizens saying he will immediately solve all the issues caused by illegal immigrants under the enforcement of his new policies once he wins the presidency. Trump tries to gain possibility of winning the presidency with his speech using demagoguery. However, some of Trump’s solutions and promises toward illegal immigration problems appear to be quite extreme. For example, he repeatedly states that he will deport all illegal immigrants the very first day and hour when he steps into office: “Day one, my first hour in office, those people are gone”(The New York Times Par. 60) Moreover, he points out the flaws of Barack Obama’s presidency and Hilary Clinton’s policies toward illegal immigration and criminal aliens, promising his audience that he would be more decisive and would take immediate action toward these problems. With several demagogic rhetorical strategies, Trump wins many applauses and supports by saying words that American people want to hear during his presidential campaign. Trump’s speech toward immigration does address certain elements of demagoguery such as victimization,
I believe that we need a change in America and I personally think that Donald Trump is going to be the president to bring us the change that is needed to make America great again. His views on gun control, which is that it is unnecessary, and his ideals to bring jobs back to America from china are all good thing that Americans needs. He has a lot of great ideas, and some not so great, in my opinion, that he has to offer if he becomes the President of the United States in the next election. Hillary Clinton is not necessary a bad choice for America, I just believe that she wants to lead us down the same path that we have been on for the last 8 years. We need a huge change and Donald Trump can give us that.
Mr. Diaz goes on about the presidential speech, Donald had that week, then Donald repeats his thoughts over Mexicans. He then comments about the possibilities of terrorists coming to the US from the Mexican border, that it could be possible, especially looking at the situations that could happen like 9/11. As a politician, he should have more of the information on hand than those in the lower class or Tv News. When you think of situations, it could be a possibility, yet 9/11 isn’t sufficient enough to become an example that could happen. The terrorist that came to destroy the peace, came with permission (VISA) from the country. There was no need to come through the border we have come to a time where there is an easier path than using the border to come pass by and kill thousands of people. Donald Trump has been looking at the negative things about Latinos, however, hasn’t looked at the important situations. Gay equality has just become approved this year, and now he wants to start another conflict with the people of this country. Even in the year 2015, we still have the problem of looking at colored people differently. Racial Equality, a common thing we still have marched for even though it has been years since it became established. Congress has voted for equality (Equal Rights Amendment), yet why do we see people like Donald Trump still going against other ethnicity? The marches are still going on, people are still standing up, yet nothing has changed. Even people who are non-Latinos could become affected with remarks Trump says. If Donald, who has no sense in accepting Hispanics, may have similar feelings with another race. Removing undocumented doesn’t only mean Mexicans, but others as well, such as Asian, Cubans, and Central American People (Guatemalans, Salvadorans
His first plan for border security was to build a wall. In most of his speeches all you would have to hear is “build a wall” and you knew what he was speaking of. He wanted to build this wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, would this be cheap? No, and he expected Mexico to pay five billion to 10 billion to build this wall. When it came to his plans for deportations, it was to deport all of the undocumented immigrants, (which was about eleven million immigrants). Not only did he want to deport all eleven million, he wanted to penalize those who stayed longer than their visa departure date. He wants to have more immigration and custom enforcement officers, triple to be exact. He also wants to require that immigration and customs enforcement to go with local police officers to gang raids. His plans for the detentions were “no more catch and release” which means he wants immigrants who are caught illegally crossing the border to be detained and deported. He also had plans for the visa’s and work permits, his plans included to raise wages paid to H-1B (“a non-immigrant visa that allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations”)- he wanted to do this so employers are motivated to offer jobs to unemployed Americans, the visa’s including the H-1B requires that employers look to hire American’s first, also to certify that immigrants who come to the U.S. are able to afford their own
His reputation for being a very opinionated, and arrogant man has definitely granted him some easy publicity and now a foot in the door for the 2016 presidential election. With the 2016 elections just months away, Donald is still actively pursuing election and has a substantial amount of followers and supporters. Though Trump may be a very questionable person for office, he has a voice that some people like and are standing by. America is a country that stands for something, and that is freedom. We have always heard that America is the freest country in the world. This country Is free because of the people who built it and what the nation stands by. We know America is diverse, and is going to continue to become more diverse especially in the next 20 years when “whites” will become the minority and country dynamics start to change. In the state we are now with a black president, we have made progress and going back to a President completely against all races does not seem logical for a country that will be outnumbered by people of color in the next 20 years. If the changing times are over looked, we could potentially end up with a person completely unfit to run a country for the next 4 years. A president can manage to make many changes over the course of four years, so it is smarter to weight the options than to put ourselves in a very vulnerable position, when we
The only reasons and assumptions that would support his claims is the failing security of our current border patrol and laws, the amount of money we’ve spent in other countries, and that the outcome of that is that other countries don’t respect us because of that reason. There are no sources stated of where he collected his facts so therefore I’m unable to say for sure how reliable or current his statements are because he fails to tell us where he obtained his information from. He also lacks in using visuals, images and graphics to support his arguments. He tends to use a lot of fallacies in his speech, including; Ad hominem, Post hoc fallacy, Flattery, Guilt by Association, Oversimplification, Either-or-fallacy, and False Authority. All of these fallacies are present throughout the entire speech. My impression of this speech is that he rambles on a lot and repeats himself constantly never getting to the points he’s “trying” to make and he never shows truth in what he says. His supposed purpose in running for the presidency is to “help our country”. I personally think he just feeds off of fame and doesn’t want to fail because he feels he needs to be the best at everything. I don’t think he has the qualifications to make any of the arguments he’s making because he’s a businessman, not a politician and that’s very evident in his speeches. I don’t accept any of his values or unstated assumptions because he doesn’t give me any actual facts to go with the statements that he makes and states he can fix everything but doesn’t say how or when he will do so. In my opinion this speech and many of his other speeches show that he wouldn’t make a good President for our
