Classical liberalism was the dominant ideology of capitalism during the
periods of eighteenth century. It view was widely accepted. It said that
government should just sit back and watch business so they do not cheat the

this paper I will discuss those points and show you how Donald Trump is a classical

Psychological creed of classical liberalism is based on four assumptions
of human nature. People were believed to be egoistic, coldly calculating,
essential inert, and atomistic. Hobbes a economics argued that people were
motivated by the desire for pleasure and to avoid pain. Jeremy Bentham believed
pleasure differ in intensity but there was no qualitative difference. He argued
that "quality of pleasure being equal, to a pushpin is as good as poetry," The
theory he is trying to say about human motivation is that the we are lazy and
selfish.
A big part of classical liberalism is that we are coldly calculating.
Being coldly calculating means that when a situation comes about we dissever
what will make us receive less pain and more pleasure. Although the human
motivation is by pleasure it is the decision that are cold, selfish,
dispassionate, and rational assessment of the situation to choose how to avoid

He says that it is hard to get students to learn because they have more freedom than they had when they were in school. Students do not have their parents with them to motivate them. Students are more focused on having fun than they are with learning. If students do not learn then they will struggle when it’s time to actually get a job. The author says that they will exhibit the same lack of motivation in their careers. If students do not go to college to learn, then it will actually be a waste of time and money, and they will not get anything out of their career.

Typically Liberalism can be categorized into two different strands, Classical and Modern (yet some thinkers advocate a third strand that is referred to as Neo-Liberalism), each characterized by their differing and to some extent unavoidably overlapping attitudes regarding the theory behind the ideology and how it should be put into practice. U.S. Conservatism evolved from classical liberalism, which makes them similar, yet there is many differences between modern conservatism and modern liberalism. Modern liberalism in the United States is associated with the ideas of liberty and political equality; its advocates favor change in the social, political, and economic realms to better protect the well-being of individuals and to produce equality within society. My liberal views align with the Democratic Party on almost every single issue.
