The crash occurred after midnight on August 31, 1997. CONCLUSION: It is believed that her coming forward as she did helped save many lives of those suffering from bulimia. She was a devoted mother and an outstanding humanitarian. She was full of grace and beauty and was loved by so many. Unfortunately Diana’s life was cut short when she died in a car accident in Paris in 1997. However, her efforts in bring awareness for eating disorders and the many other amazing things she did, will never be forgotten.
