Recommended: Homeschool vs public school

Do you think homeschooling is expensive? Well you are about to find out a lot about homeschooling in this paper. There are a lot of people that are being homeschooled in our country, because their parents believe that public schools have a poor learning environments. According to NHES survey, thirty percent of parents believe that homeschooling is better (“ Homeschooling”). Public school doesn't teach the same amount of information as they do in homeschooling.

A common misconception is that homeschooling would cost more money than public schools just because homeschooling doesn't have all the same materials that a public school does. Actually public school costs more money. How? Well there are additional costs such as school fees, sports, and books. Whereas, in homeschooling you don't have to do that.

Should parents be required to be certified teachers to homeschool their kids?Currently it is not required because as long as they can read and write, they are qualified. Parents can teach their kids the way they want them to learn. Some people say homeschool kids are smarter than public school kids, and that is in fact correct (“Homeschooling”). Homeschooled students get more attention and they aren’t around a lot of people so they learn faster and better. Homeschooling is all over the United States and was made legal in 2003 (“Homescholing”).

Also some parents might not want to send their kids to a public school, because they might think it will be dangerous for their kids. In that case, they would do whatever they could to homeschool their children. Also they might not want them to go to a public school because they don’t know what is happening. For example, kids may be talking to their kids about drinking, smoking,...

So mainly what this paper has been about, is that homeschooling is different than public schooling. Homeschoolers are way smarter than us public school kids. There test records are way higher than public school kids. Don’t take this as public school kids aren't as educated as homeschool kids, because some of us are very smart and then again some of us are very stupid, or even just simply just don’t care. Most of public school kids are like that though. After doing all this research, i have learned a lot about homeschooling and what parents go through to teach their kids. I would never want my mom to do all that for me. Personally I do just fine in a public school, I would most likely do better if i was homeschooled, but I like being around people too much to be homeschooled.
