Do you think Dr. Seuss is more than nonsense words and rhyming? Dr. Seuss wrote children's books, but most of them had an important message that children probably didn’t know were in them. Dr. Seuss is more than nonsense words and rhyming. Children thought Dr. Seuss books were about fictional characters and nonsense; however, when they’re older they will begin to understand the concept and how it relates to the real world.

The Lorax is a book with the characters the Once-ler and the Lorax. The Lorax lives in an area filled with truffula trees. Because the Once-ler determines that the truffula are superior quality for his thneed, the Once-ler chops down the truffula trees. The Once-ler decides that he can’t assemble all of the thneeds by hand, so he builds a factory. The dilemma is that people are destroying nature just so they can build factories and buildings. The Once-ler chops and chops the truffula trees until nothing. The last tree was standing out in the open until it got chopped. If you don’t take care of the environment around you then people are going to be left with polluted air, trees chopped, and there will be no homes for animals. Mayzie leaves the egg with Horton; he watches the egg until she comes back. Horton is a faithful elephant and kept his word and sat on the egg. Horton sat on the egg and did Mayzie's job when the job was done Mayzie wanted the egg back. Horton puts plenty of time and work on the egg; therefore, the egg hatches.
