This film portrays the American society in 1950s during the cold war and examines Christianity religious significance. The film shows American society has paranoia that portrays by the lacking of trust of Klaatu. Today, the Science fiction movies are different than the 1950s film. Today movies focus on technology, women’s roles, and civil right more than religious power. We can see the technology in the movies in our real lives after several years not like the 1950s movies. The institutions in this movie focus on religion and make similarity between Klaatu and Jesus.
