People are being discriminated against everyday by many people. People who are “different” than ourselves, are being bullied by their peers, strangers, friends, and even their own families. Throughout the world, there a countless religions, but hundreds of countries however, are not protected by government and are harassed over their religion. Although jobs and companies are not legally allowed to discriminate against people based on their religion, it still happens. Atheists are also discriminated against greatly. Atheists are limited in this world in countless ways, mainly with government issues. Atheists are not allowed to run for congress, and in the history of the presidents, there is no record of a president being an Atheist. Many atheists are also untrusted by friends or people they meet. If a parent were atheist, and fighting for their child’s custody, many people would not trust him to be a fit parent because he does not believe in God. Atheists also have a hard time finding jobs or a place to live, because if they are not religious, then they could be fired or pushed away. In today’s world, too many people are being discriminated against by their religions in multiple ways. Although we have moved further up, we are still very low on the list. Women are discriminated against in numerous ways. People have become biased over the debate on women’s rights because they do not know what it is like to be treated with disrespect or they just do not care, this has caused huge barriers for women. If a woman were to become pregnant, they are actually many times treated with disrespect. They are looked at as vulnerable and idiotic. Women are also looked at as fragile and gentle. Also called the “weaker sex”. This has caused many problems because many jobs, such as the military, do not think women are capable of what men can do. Over the years, women have actually started to believe this giving men the upper hand. Although women most times work harder and longer than men, they get paid less because we are looked down upon. Women are treated with less respect and this has started from the beginning of time, I believe that this may be caused by the fact that since the dawn of time, women were treated more as slaves rather than people. If people would accept the fact that women are strong, not weak, that they are smart, not stupid, and say that if God were to be a woman, how much better would we be treated?
